Special Interest Classes
All classes are open to everyone, you do not need to be a Danvers resident or a senior to attend classes. Registration in advance is required for all classes on a first-come, first served basis.

Watercolor Class
Jim Kerr is back from North Carolina to teach a 3 week class in Watercolor Painting. This is a great opportunity to sharpen your skills. Class will meet Fridays, August 20, 27 & September 3, 2010 from 9 AM-12 Noon. Cost is $30.00 per person. Class is limited to 8.

Decorative Painting Class for Beginners
No previous painting experience necessary. In this two hour program you will learn a few simple brush strokes to paint a sunflower on a terra cotta pot. Sample pot is available for you to see at the Senior Center. Jeanette Lerner, Instructor, will bring all the supplies necessary for this class and you will leave with a finished product!!! Thursday,
August 19th from 5-7 PM, $35.00 per person, limited to 8.

Personal Safety Class
In this 2 week session Jo Hattendorf will teach you the 5 principles of safety as well as verbal skills that you can use anytime, anywhere - - with people you know, strangers on the street, or while traveling. Thursdays, August 12 & 19 from 5:30-7:30 PM. Cost: $35.00 per person

Jewelry Class
Have you always wanted to create jewelry? Blueberry Hill in Beverly is sponsoring a class to make jewelry. You will learn how to make Shrinky Dink Jewelry. A light lunch will be served. Transportation can be arranged through the Senior Center. Friday, September 24th from 11 AM – 1 PM, There is no cost for this, but you must register in advance by calling Paula at the Senior Center 978 762-0208 x 104.

Registration: June 7-18, 2010 from 8 AM—5 PM Classes begin the week of July 5th.

Chair Yoga 1:30-2:30 PM Dot McKeen, RYT Cost: $30/$45 Chair Yoga is a wonderful way to reduce stress, relieve muscular tension in neck, shoulders and back, increases flexibility, balance and endurance as well as enhances your well being.

TUESDAYS
Spring Into Shape 9:00-10:00 AM Tracy Cammaro Cost: $30.00 Low impact aerobics custom tailored to the fitness needs of the more mature fitness conscious individual.
Class will meet every Tuesday and Thursday. Purchase a“ Passport to Health” card and have it punched every session you attend. Each card is good for 12 sessions. The card does not expire.

Bereavement, Loss & Change Support Group 1-2:30 PM, Nancy Downey No Cost On going A support group for people who have experienced the death of a loved one and who want to understand the grieving process, find comfort, healing, and more meaning in their lives.

Line Dancing—No Line Dancing until September.

help each other over the tricky points and help you turn out an item just like the photo in the instructions. All Welcome!

COMPUTER CLASSES
Internet Part 1 – Thursday, June 3rd from 1-4 PM. Learn how to surf the Web. One three hour session designed for the beginning Internet user. Mary Ellen McNeil, Instructor. Cost: $40.00

Internet Part II – Thursday, June 17th 1-4 PM. Indepth exploration of the internet. Search using directories, the world wide web and superior search engines. Must have completed basic internet course. One three hour session. Mary Ellen McNeil, Instructor. Cost: $40.00

Excel – June 8, 15 & 22, 1-4 PM. Three Sessions. Electronic spreadsheet program used to maintain calculations, values, organize data and analyze date. Mary Ellen McNeil, Instructor. Cost: $60.00
